Managing your account and profile

Your account is how you sign in and how you appear to your teammates. This covers the personal settings under Settings → Profile, plus how signing in works.

Signing in

There are three ways to get into AcornReply:

  • Email and password
  • Google
  • A one-time code sent to your email

As long as you use the same email address, it's the same account no matter which method you pick — so you can sign up one way and sign in another without creating a duplicate.

Setting or changing your password

You don't need a password to use AcornReply (Google or a one-time code work fine), but you can set one — or change an existing one — any time under Settings → Profile → Password.

Your name and avatar

Your profile picture appears everywhere your name shows up: the Mine button at the top of the inbox, assignee chips, and the account menu. Under Settings → Profile → Identity, you can:

  • Upload a photo from your computer (or take one with your phone camera) and crop it square.
  • If you signed in with Google, your Google photo is used by default — you can disable it to fall back to your initials, or upload your own (uploads always win over the Google photo).
  • Remove your upload to go back to the Google photo, or your initials.

Photos can be PNG, JPEG, or WebP, up to 256 KB after cropping.

Notifications

How and when AcornReply pings you is personal too, and lives under Settings → Notifications — email, web push, per workspace, per device. See Notifications: never miss a message.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from settings at any time. This removes your associated data; if you want a copy first, export your inbox (see Your data: security, storage, and export). Deletion is permanent.
